The word 'passion' has become quite the buzz word lately, hasn't it? I can honestly say that the word 'passion' was in my vocabulary years before it became 'trendy' and hence why 'The Passionate Voice' was born. It was a word I heard often as a kid growing up, people would comment saying I was 'passionate,' talking about whatever it was I was talking about (it was most likely cows growing up!)
'Passion' as defined by Merriam-Webster dictionary is "a strong feeling of enthusiasm or excitement for something or about doing something." What I personally believe passion is, is "Passion is harnessing your emotions in a controlled and positive way to help evoke change."

I always find myself connected most to those who are passionate in how they talk, what they are talking about, and the zest they have for life and the issues/topics they are 'passionate' about. That is why I like to hear from thought leaders and experts who are clearly passionate about what they are talking about - whether it is leadership, sports, politics - listening and watching people who are so captivated by 'their thing' is contagious for me. That's why I listen, watch and talk to those type of people, because I catch the 'contagious passion' and want to do better in everything I am doing both in work, life and here, at the Passionate Voice.
It is also why I am always attracted to help clients, both individuals and businesses, that are SO passionate about what they do and what they have to offer others. It makes it easy to help any business or individual when they are completely and utterly passionate about their product or service.
The best business leaders are passionate. The best companies have passionate people who work for them, who believe in what they are selling or in the company's cause. I don't care what you are talking about, if you show you are passionate about it in a positive and motivating "making a difference" type of way, then you'll automatically be noticed by those around you. And those type of people's passion is contagious to me. Who is with me on this?!
