Sometimes There Are No Words....

"Today inspires me to be better, do better and pursue my passions even more wholeheartedly with conviction, thanks to you Logan."

Happy belated Canada day, friends.

This week leading up to the long weekend was a bit of a sobering one which began when I started reading the memoir, 'When Breathe Becomes Air' about a doctor who treats cancer patients, only to get cancer himself. It was only a few days later that we received the news that the Canadian dairy industry, an industry my family and I are proud to be a part of, lost someone young to his own battle with cancer after only a few short months after his diagnosis.

Sometimes the death of someone you know or someone close to you shakes you to your core in a way that no words can truly describe. As a way to try and express in a way that made sense, I posted the following on social media in honour of my friend the day he passed:

'Days like today are an unfortunate, harsh reminder of the fragility of life.

We can't take for granted the time we have on earth because we never truly know when we'll be called back to serve. God takes those to be our angels to teach us who we should be, could be and can be.

The Canadian dairy industry lost another great today.

My love and prayers are with the Chalack family as they say goodbye to one of the most fun-loving and larger than life personalities there was.

Today inspires me to be better, do better and pursue my passions even more wholeheartedly with conviction, thanks to you Logan."

This week has been a sobering reminder to pursue my greatest passions; live and love to the fullest; be grateful for the people who I'm blessed to surround myself with; and live out my dreams & talents to make a positive difference in the world because you just never know how much time you truly have left.

This ones for you, Logan.
